Rehearsing in the dress and the shoes
Fabric and footwear change a dance more than couples expect. A long skirt changes what a turn does and where a partner's feet can go; a heel that is a half inch higher than the practice shoe changes balance on every step; a veil moves independently of the person wearing it. None of this is a reason to simplify a routine, and all of it is a reason to meet it before the day rather than during it. Bring the shoes at least once, and the dress if it is practical — being ten minutes from the studio is what makes that a small ask rather than a whole evening.
